John came to serve as the Pastor of First Baptist in August, 2004. John is a graduate of Baylor University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently working on a Doctorate in Ministry at Bethel Seminary. John has served in Texas Baptist churches as Youth Minister, Music Minister, Associate Pastor, and College Minister since 1980. John and his wife, Melinda, have been married since 1984 and have two daughters. Melinda is an elementary school teacher employed by Kenedy I.S.D. Their oldest daughter, Mandi Kelley, is married to Jake Kelley and together they are making plans to go to Africa to serve as missionaries through Africa Inland Missions. Their youngest daughter, Amy, is a student at Baylor University majoring in communications.

Robert McGee - Minister Of Music and Education

Robert joined the staff of First Baptist Kenedy in November of 2010. Robert is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been in full time music ministry for 15+ years serving churches in Florida and Texas. Before his call to full time ministry, Robert was a Junior and Senior High school Band Director in Vinton, Louisiana. Robert and his wife, Renetta, have been married since 1996. 

Rosemary Vickery - Children's Coordinator & Ministry Assistant

RoseMary has been on staff since 2009 but has been involoved in Children's Ministry for many years. She is the product of a church that believed in the importance of Children's Ministry and investing in the lives of young people. That church was FBC Kenedy. RoseMary and her husband Tommy have four children and have been married since 1990.

Jonathan Martin - Minster to Students

Jonathan joined the staff of First Baptist Kenedy in October of 2011. He is currently a student at Baptist Univerity of the Americas. Jonathan and his wife, Janie, have a son named Darius.
